Important assumption: you have a genuine VAG KKL 409.1 OBD-II USB cable and a Windows 10 PC.
Many cheap VAG KKL 409.1 cables use counterfeit FTDI chips. Windows 10 may intentionally brick them with error 43. If that happens, you may need to roll back the driver or buy a genuine cable.
