The only reason to stay on Forge is if you rely on that are only on Forge (e.g., Mekanism , Blood Magic , Ice and Fire ). If you are playing vanilla or anarchy servers, Fabric + Meteor is objectively superior.
Meteor Client is, and has always been, a utility mod. If you are trying to run Meteor on Forge 1.20.1, you are looking for something that does not exist.
