We are currently in the "claymation" era of VR—rigid, static, pre-modeled. The jump to BlobCG is the jump from photography to painting . It’s messier, it’s less predictable, but it is infinitely more expressive.

Unfinished Bitness
On macOS Mojave, the “sudo make install” part was failing for me, with the error “variable ‘PREFIX’ must be set”. Typing “env” seemed to show PREFIX set to /usr/local as per instructions so this was confusing. Then I tried “sudo env” and spotted that the sudo command didn’t have PREFIX set to anything. My solution was to invoke “sudo -i” then “export PREFIX=/usr/local” and finally “make install”
Good to know. What I documented worked at the time, at least for me. Its been some time so maybe a few things changed. Reply approved in case I need this info in the future or someone else does. Thanks!
