Tarzan and Jane were living in the city, trying to adjust to their new life. Tarzan, the king of the jungle, was struggling to adapt to the confines of civilization. He longed for the freedom of the wild, where he could swing from tree to tree and feel the wind in his hair.

The story follows a sophisticated socialite, , who travels to Africa on an expedition. There, she encounters the "Ape Man" ( Tarzan ) and begins an erotic journey. The plot transitions from their initial discovery in the jungle to Jane attempting to bring Tarzan back to British civilization, where culture shock and class conflict ensue.
