The automotive industry has shifted decisively toward Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), necessitating robust Over-the-Air (OTA) update mechanisms. This paper examines the software update lifecycle of the GWM Haval Jolion, focusing on the "Verified" status protocol within its infotainment and ECU architecture. By analyzing the verification chain of custody—from the OEM backend to the Vehicle Gateway—this study identifies the cryptographic and procedural safeguards employed to ensure firmware integrity. The paper further explores common verification failures and the user-centric manifestation of the "Update Verified" notification as a trust signal.
