For the uninitiated, Roadside Romeo is a romantic comedy set in the streets of Mumbai. It follows Romeo (voiced in Hindi by Saif Ali Khan), a pampered dog who is abandoned by his owners. Forced to fend for himself on the tough streets, he falls in love with Laila (Kareena Kapoor), a beautiful street performer.
