Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, makes a wager with Julius Caesar that her people can build a magnificent palace for him in just three months. To accomplish this impossible task, she summons the architect Numerobis. Realizing he cannot succeed alone, Numerobis travels to Gaul to seek help from the famous druid Panoramix (Getafix). Panoramix agrees to return to Egypt with his magic potion, accompanied by Asterix and Obelix.
