Memory manipulation to enable specific game advantages.
From a technical standpoint, Zaphod’s work was a masterclass in memory manipulation. IGI 2 used a proprietary engine (the same one that powered Battlefield 1942 ’s Refractor 2 engine, interestingly enough). The game had built-in anti-cheat logic for multiplayer, but Zaphod’s trainer bypassed this by hooking into the game’s process memory space at runtime, altering key values for health, armor, and ammo without crashing the game—a feat that required deep knowledge of assembly and pointer scanning. trainer by zaphod rox igi 2
