If there is one saving grace in Katteri , it is the performance of the supporting cast, particularly Karunakaran and Bala Saravanan. Their comedic timing and banter provide a few genuine laughs in an otherwise dull script. Vaibhav tries his best to carry the film, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar puts in a committed performance as the titular character, Katteri, but the script doesn't give them enough substance to work with. The production design of the bungalow is decent, creating an adequately spooky atmosphere.
