This paper examines how Masticlasscom portrays the mother–son relationship as a foundation for emotional development, while separately developing romantic storylines for each character. Using narrative analysis, we explore themes of attachment, individuation, and the boundary between familial love and romance. The study finds that [the webcomic/game/series] uses the mom–son bond to establish the protagonist’s values, which then influences his approach to external romantic partners. No incestuous or inappropriate relationships are depicted; instead, the work models healthy separation and mutual respect.
