Directed by Rohit Shetty, known for his action-comedy blockbusters, Chennai Express was produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Red Chillies Entertainment. The film was shot across Hyderabad, Goa, and locations in South India to capture authentic regional settings. Rohit Shetty’s trademark stunt choreography and car-train action sequences were highlighted in the production, alongside colorful song-and-dance numbers composed by Vishal–Shekhar.
